Peggy is passionate about helping individuals and organizations realize the best versions of themselves through the development of custom-built “playbooks''. Considered a Maximizer via StrengthFinders®, Peggy focuses on strengths as a way to support personal and group excellence. She seeks to “transform something strong into something superb”.
Peggy has worked for the University of Michigan (U-M) since 1999 in a variety of operations leadership roles. Peggy is the Chief of Staff and Director of Operations for University Human Resources (UHR). In her role, Peggy oversees the internal operations of UHR, including strategic planning, positive and inclusive culture initiatives, budget and financial operations, human resources, and facilities management. Peggy has served in similar roles at Michigan Medicine, U-M’s School of Kinesiology, and at MHealthy, U-M’s employee health management program.
Prior to her work at U-M, Peggy was the Director of Health Education and Women’s Health for Humana and also worked as a Health Educator for the Health Alliance Plan in Detroit.
Peggy earned her M.P.H. and her M.B.A. both from the University of Michigan. While at the Ross Business School, Peggy conducted her research fieldwork with Professor Kim Cameron where she studied resiliency among nurses in an academic medical setting, and has collaborated on a variety of professional projects with Kim.
Peggy received her coaching certification in 2017 and specializes in helping leaders and individual contributors: grow into and actualize strengths both in and outside of work, develop leadership legacies, move from leading the operational to leading the strategic, and gain courage in practicing values-based leadership.
