Evan Marie Allison Pieknik 

Program Director of Equity, Strategy and Innovation 

With over 10 years of experience in the leadership development field, Evan Marie is passionate about helping others identify and become the best versions of themselves. She values life-long learning, growth through challenge, and striving for a more equitable society. As a coach, Evan Marie focuses on cultivating a brave space for introspection, exploration, and perspective-taking to support coachees stepping into their full potential. 


With experience in the non-profit and higher education sectors, Evan Marie has worked at the intersections of social justice, leadership development and coalition building. In her current role, Evan Marie leads the Equity, Strategy and Innovation department within the Office of Culture, Community, and Equity stewarding foundational strategic initiatives. This includes overseeing the operationalization of the Michigan Engineering DEI Strategic Plan engaging in visioning, tracking and evaluation efforts while fostering collaborative partnerships.


Evan Marie is a Co-Active Training Institute-trained leadership coach. She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education from the U-M Marsal School of Education and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. 


Outside of work and coaching, she is a mom, avid outdoorswoman, martial artist and animal lover.
